This Week: Parade, Meetings, and More!
Thanks to you, the first month of our campaign for Harrisonburg City Council has been a great success! We have a team coming together, a strategy for moving forward, and are about 20% to our fundraising goal.
There are three simple ways that you can help this week:
1. Attend Harrisonburg’s Valley 4th Celebration on Friday - and Join our Parade Entry!
The local Democrat Committees have a parade entry in Friday’s 4th of July Parade. Supporters of Barack Obama, Mark Warner, Sam Rasoul, and our fellow local candidates will join us! Our campaign will have signs and lapel stickers - and we need supporters to wear them! Parade line up is at 4:15 behind the Municipal Building. Click here for details.
I need your help meeting Harrisonburg’s voters. I set a goal to have 10 House Parties in July. These are very simple to host: Pick a date and time for a one hour informal meeting, send invitations to your network, and I’ll attend and introduce myself. Please be in touch if you’re interested! Breakfasts, evenings (5-10pm), and weekends work best for me. Reply if you’re interested! There is a volunteer / info session at 4:00pm at Clementine Cafe on Sunday July 6 at 4:00pm. Please come by to get in the loop moving forward (there’s also a wonderful show later that evening, Miss Tess at 9pm).
2. Contribute to Kai Degner for City Council
Thanks to so many of you who have donated so far in the campaign! Every single donation - from $5 to $500 - brings us a step closer. Checks can be written to Kai Degner for City Council and mailed to 676 East Wolfe St, Harrisonburg, VA 22802 - or click to donate online!
